You know how some weekends it feels like you’ve just gotten NOTHING accomplished at all, whereas others you jam-pack with so much crazy that you wind up in need of another weekend immediately just to recover? Yeah. Me too. This weekend was NOT either one of those, in fact it feels like for once, we actually got the balance right. Can it be? As time goes on I’m giving up on the idea of balance being a sustainable ideal, but that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy it when it actually finds us! The past two days were a perfect combination…

Thank you once again to everybody who took the time and effort to give me some feedback on the blog. I’m so inspired, tremendously so actually, to give Comic Mummy HQ an overhaul both in design and content. THANK YOU!!! One thing I found really interesting was that there seems to be a FAQ about how to do this creative/parenting combo gig. I’ll do my best to share some thoughts on this more regularly for shizzle! Very cool. If you do have a SPECIFIC question/thought you’d like me to blog about, then please do send it through and help me…

We’ve been in home-making overdrive here at CM headquarters this weekend. Ella de-weeded almost the entire garden and learned to whipper-snip! Caleb and my hubby made a book-case: out of Caleb’s old bed! Cassidy cheered helpfully from the sidelines (code for “wanted to do everything himself”) but took satisfaction in his new “art corner”. I do confess I believe I that mere moments after impact I yelled out the exact words “Are you f****ing kidding me?!” Seriously. Really? Grrr. The good news is it was not nearly as traumatising as the head-on collision of 2010; this one was a pretty seriously violent rear-ender, us having the back of our car taken out by a poor young p-plater. I really felt bad for her; she made a stupid mistake,…

First things first, as of yesterday morning, tickets are all OFFICIALLY ON SALE for all my upcoming Aussie gigs! Woohoo! Adelaide Fringe tix here! Brisbane Powerhouse tix here! Melbourne International Comedy Festival tix here! I’m thinking of doing a bit of a competition in each city, offering free double passes to see the show to peeps photographing themselves (or their hands, or their gnome/teddy/figurine of choice) spotted with my posters. Whaddya reckon? A little self-indulgent, yes? Yes? YES. That’s why I kinda love it. I’ve always dreamed of becoming the hunted in a real-life “Where’s Wally?” So, in between panic…
