I really want my kids to grow up knowing that they are incredibly privileged even just by way of having a roof over their head, food in the cupboard and a family that loves them and can be there for them and that they thereby have a responsibility to do what they can for people who aren’t so lucky. As such, each year before Christmas we get the kids to: a) donate a good chunk of their toys to local op shops; and b) do something that’s not about THEM! (Note, no moral highground to claim here, we do more…

Everything hurts. Kicking off from the ABC Radio studios, where I chatted about this nutty plan and comedy stuff with the lovely Spencer Howson, Friday saw us spend almost 8 hours around the streets of Brisbane with a prammed-up puppet accepting gold coin donations down her gullet. We were very sensible – I had my back strapped, we factored in lots of breaks for stretching and resting and with the help of fellow comedian Damian Cosgriff, we were supplied at checkpoints with water, snacks and encouragement! So, how did it go? Well, we got lots of strange looks, met tons…

Tomorrow! I shall be HURTLING myself over this $10k finish line for the fab Cara Disability Services, WITH both my puppet daughter (who many of you may recall joins me onstage in my cabaret show), PLUS my real-life daughter, who, just like her Mummy, cannot miss out on anything in this lifetime. It’s all about taking my newest show, called ‘Jenny Wynter’s Wonderland! Featuring Betty and the Betties!’ to the Adelaide Fringe in 2013 and it has officially launched today right here! I won’t harp on about the details here, as if you click over to the page itself, all will be revealed! It tells you what the show is all about (clue: JAWESOMENESS), how you can be involved (including IN THE SHOW ITSELF), ridiculously cool stuff you…

Surprise! So…it turns out shooting an adventure doco around multiple corners of a state is actually pretty damn hectic. I am shocked. Blogging may be sporadic at best I’m afraid! However I am updating with photos and various attempts at seeming more amusing than I am over at my Facebook page if you care to play along! In short, I went through a pretty sooky first morning (combo of total exhaustion and missing my babies) but the bizarre fun of the while adventure soon kicked me into gear. Yesterday I had a moment which was worth the entire effort of…
